The 13th PACRIM conference will be held in Okinawa (Japan) from 27th October to 1st November 2019, and organised by The Ceramic Society of Japan. The conference program is designed to enable the participants to discuss and gain insight into recent research activities related to many topics in the field of ceramic technologies as well as to exchange scientific and technological information with experts from many countries who are involved in research, development, engineering, manufacturing and application of ceramics.

The Pacific Rim Conference of Ceramic Societies is held through collaboration among the ceramic societies of the Pacific Rim countries – The American Ceramic Society, The Ceramic Society of Japan, The Chinese Ceramic Society, The Korean Ceramic Society and The Australian Ceramic Society.

The 1st PACRIM conference was hosted by The American Ceramic Society at Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1993. Since then, the conferences have been held in many countries, including Australia, Korea, Japan, China and Canada, in addition to US. Over the years, the conferences have established a strong reputation as a forum for discussions and information exchange on the state-of-the-art and emerging topics in ceramics technologies.
