From 8-13 April Andreas Wilden, Doctor in Chemistry at the German Forschungszentrum Jülich and GENIORS partner, attended the International Conference on Methods and Applications of Radioanalytical Chemistry (MARC XI Conference) in Kailua-Kona (Hawaii, USA).
Launched in 1987, the MARC conference series have become an international reference to discuss advances in radioanalytical chemistry and its applications. They cover a large array of topics including environmental radioactivity measurements, activation analysis, biology and medical applications, radiation detectors and instrumentation, nuclear proliferation prevention and safeguards, education, as well as mass spectrometry methods for detecting radioactive materials. Their main objective is to boost and promote exchanges between the international radioanalytical chemistry community.
At the MARC XI Conference Andreas gave a presentation on “Radiolytic Degradation of the Hydrophilic Diglycolamides”. He took the opportunity to talk about the GENIORS project. We are also happy to share with you some dream pictures taken in Hawaii by Andreas himself!
